Elton John Concert
"Each year Elton John plays a gig at Watford Football Cup (16,000 audience). James approached us to list the Tulip. I liked the idea so I thought I would give it a go.
I have to say I was bowled over with the results.
This year we sold 3440 units of the Tulip at the concert,
and it was raining. Last year with a branded 187ml bottle
we only sold 736 units, and it was sunny. That is over a
400% increase. This product really grabs the consumers
imagination!
This is actually a perfect test as everything
else was the same, price, no of bars, no of staff etc, etc.
The only difference was the weather – that was better
last year than this !

"Over the last few years we have been improving our catering service on our trains. We feel we have always had a strong wine offering - a known brand available in small bottles.
Due to health & safety we cannot however serve in an actual glass. When I was presented with the concept I immediately liked the idea. It would be perfect for our trollies – no need to carry extra cups. The wine quality level was also good.
We have now been running with the Tulip for over 4 months and the sales pick–up has been excellent. Versus previous sales are up by 22%."
